What is the Retail Panel?

Test The Retail Panel is a web-based platform. As a member of our Retail Panel, we will ask for your exclusive opinion on new products and services in Sales and customer service of the passenger car and van divisions. This way, you can play an active role in helping to shape our portfolio and influence the further development of Mercedes-Benz. As an authorized car or van contract partner of Mercedes-Benz, your opinion is particularly important to us, since you are the ones who have gathered the necessary experience of our products and services and so you are the experts when it comes it giving us important feedback.

Who can register for the Retail Panel?

Users who are entitled to register include employees of authorized Mercedes-Benz car and van dealers and company-owned sales and service outlets who have been entrusted with the sale and service of vehicles from the Mercedes-Benz, smart, Mercedes-AMG, Mercedes-Maybach und Mercedes-EQ brands, as well as employees of car and van market representatives (Market Performance Center and general distributors). As of December 1, 2021, participation is no longer possible for employees of dealers for the commercial vehicle division who have been entrusted with the sale and service of the Mercedes-Benz, Freightliner, Western Star, FUSO and BharatBenz truck brands as well as the Mercedes-Benz, Setra, Thomas Built Buses and FUSO bus brands.

Why is it not possible to register for the Retail Panel as an employee of a commercial vehicle contract partner?

As of December 1, 2021, the Retail Panel is purely a Retail Panel for cars and vans. Registration is consequently only possible for people who verifiably deal with these divisions.

Why is it an essential requirement to specify a GSSN number or brand code/sales network number?

You need to specify the GSSN number or brand code/sales network number so that we can check whether you are entitled to register. Users who are entitled to register include employees of authorized Mercedes-Benz car and van dealers as well as company-owned sales and service outlets and employees of the national organizations (Market Performance Center and general distributors), who must have concluded a contract with Mercedes-Benz AG. We reserve the right to review the registration at a subsequent time and, if necessary, block access based on incorrect information.

How can I participate?

To register for the panel, simply click here. We need certain information from you, such as your current job designation and the company you work for. Based on that information, we can invite you to participate in projects relevant to you.

What happens if I have registered even though I am not entitled to a registration?

We are obligated to review the registrations regularly. Should it be determined through one of these standard reviews that you are not entitled to register for the Retail Panel, we will have to block you (on the basis of incorrect information, where applicable).

How can I participate in a survey?

As a member of the Retail Panel, you are invited via e-mail regularly to take part in our surveys. The studies are only conducted online and can be completed on a PC or via smartphone. 

What happens if I don't take part in a survey?

Participation in a survey is voluntary and non-binding, of course. You do not take on any obligations by becoming a member of our online panel. However, we will send you a reminder via e-mail a few days later.

How much time does participation in the Retail Panel take?

We know how valuable your time is: For each survey, you can decide for yourself whether you wish to participate and therefore how much time you invest. The time needed varies between 5 minutes to a maximum of 15 minutes for each survey.

How often will I receive invitations to participate in new surveys? 

The number of invitations varies, but there will be no more than four invitations per month. You are only invited to those surveys that you can answer - based on your scope of tasks, division or responsibilities. We may ask you at the beginning of a survey about your experience with a product or service, in order to identify whether the survey topic is suitable for you or not. However, participation in any survey is voluntary, meaning that even if you receive an invitation, you are not obligated to participate in the survey.  

What is my added value?

Our future tools and processes should be better geared toward the needs of our retailers – and this is only possible with your support as an expert. Our goal is to involve you early on in the development of new Sales and Customer Service products and tools, systems and processes. You have a direct line to the Mercedes-Benz AG product developers, so to speak, and can be certain that they will receive your direct feedback.

Do I need to speak perfect English to participate in the Retail Panel?

No, not at all. We are interested in getting your opinion on certain topics. This doesn't require a perfect command of English. If you have any questions about specific designations or issues, you can contact us at any time. Simply send us an e-mail and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

Who is behind the Retail Panel? 

The Mercedes-Benz Retail Panel is operated by Mercedes-Benz AG,  GCSP/ORS,  in cooperation with the fully owned subsidiary Mercedes-Benz Consulting GmbH. You can easily contact us via e-mail at retail_panel@mercedes-benz.com.

What happens with my data?

Your personal data is stored in an encrypted form on a secure server and, in accordance with the strict directives of the Data Protection Law, used exclusively in an anonymized and grouped form for Mercedes-Benz AG market research and marketing analysis. The data from the Panel is not forwarded to other entities.

What can I do if I've forgotten my password?

During login, click on "Forgot password?" This will open a new window. There, you can then enter your e-mail address and request a new password, which will be sent to you by e-mail.

Can I change my password?

Of course you can change your password at any time. In the section "User profile", you can enter a new password when you are logged in to your account.

How can I end my participation?

Your membership in the Retail Panel is entirely voluntary and can be cancelled at any time. Therefore simply click in your user profile on "Delete user profile" when you are logged in to your account. Your personal data will then be deleted immediately.
